TIAT Art and Tech (Downtown: Powell and O'Farrell) Event Link Computational poetry reading group @ tiat presents a night of computational theater and desktop performance, hosted and curated by Halim Madi. What is "computer theater" and what should you bring to the stage? Put simply, this is an open mic and you can bring anything you'd like to share. The creative constraint I (Halim) am suggesting is theater and so the difference with the usual "here's the latest thing I built" or "here's a net art piece I created" is that it's a piece you perform with the computer. Think "story" or "character", as if you're putting together a small piece of theater. 5 to 10min max! Example! The first 3 minutes of this performance (by yours truly!) should help 😊 Any questions, ask away. And for more lit about "computer theater", visit this research project page. ―――――――――― computational poetry reading group is a series of gatherings at the intersection of language and technology. location provided by event source: "tiat, 151 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94102, USA" ―――――――――― SF Stuff To Do
