Presidio Events Event Link Price: $25 Price: $25 Follow a 1,200-mile journey retracing Anza’s historic expedition from Sonora to San Francisco. Presidio Theatre hosts the world premiere of Anza 250: A Documentary Film , presented by the Presidio Historical Association with support from the San Francisco Historical Society . Taking place on the Presidio’s 250th anniversary, the screening reflects on Juan Bautista de Anza’s 1776 arrival on the peninsula that would become San Francisco and the lasting historical and cultural significance of the expedition. The feature documentary follows Professor Luis Valle as he retraces Anza’s journey, traveling 1,200 miles by bicycle along the expedition’s original route from present-day Sonora, Mexico, to San Francisco. Along the way, Valle explores the people, places, and histories connected to the route, providing context for Anza’s arrival and the profound changes that followed. This special anniversary program at Presidio Theatre offers an opportunity to consider the expedition and its legacy through both a contemporary journey and a historical lens. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a raffle, and a reception will follow the screening. location provided by event source: "Presidio Theatre" ―――――――――― SF Stuff To Do
