Future of Us Event Link Imagination is a civic act. As the final public program of the Future of Us festival, this session explores visions for collective flourishing — and closes with a special panel on what the future of civic culture could be. ―――――――――― About the Event: Part of a three-day series at SFMOMA exploring the essential role of art and imagination in shaping our collective futures. Each day asks a single, layered question — what happens when art meets science, technology, nature, and civic life? Expect multimedia shows that blend live performance, community visions, receptions for connection, and big-idea conversations, alongside fellow-led experiences and a pop-up from the Institute for the Future. Art&Us is the second of two back-to-back sessions. We encourage you to attend Art&Nature as well — register separately so we can plan accordingly. Art&Nature begins at 11am in the same space. Produced in collaboration with SFMOMA, the Institute for the Future, Labocine, and a coalition of artists and civic builders. ―――――――――― Schedule of Events: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Presentations and Performances Performances by: • Kevin Moore, Saxophone Performance • Mindy Ng and Francis Aquino, Dance Performance Artist Perspectives (in partnership with Metta Fund): • Juana Alicia, Muralist & Arts Educator • Favianna Rodriguez, Artist & Cultural Strategist • Arturo Méndez-Reyes, Arts.Co.Lab Panel: • David Kim, Being Human • Sarah Howard, Global Philanthropy Forum • Key Jo Lee, Museum of the African Diaspora 4:00pm — Reception in the Koret Education Center • Drinks, light bites, and open conversation • The Future Photobooth by Institute for the Future and the Sincerely, San Francisco time capsule booth are open • The area will also feature the Sincerely SF time capsule activation ―――――――――― What to Expect: • Activations: Join us in the Koret Education Center for rotating creative activations led by our Partners and Fellows. Accessibility & Considerations SFMOMA is committed to an accessible experience for all visitors. All entrances and floors are accessible to those using wheeled devices, with an accessible drop-off at Third Street and push-button doors.
