NANG SONGKRAN REBORN AUGUST 1ST — 7 PM TILL LATE ⒶⓉⒶⓀ Gallery invites you to experience Nang Songkran Reborn , recent works by Thai artist Theerapon Ekster Angsupanich , working under the names Ekster and T.E.A. Drawing upon traditions rooted in southern Thailand while embracing a contemporary artistic language, Ekster creates works that celebrate craftsmanship as both practice and philosophy. Through pastel, gouache, ink, textiles, and meticulously hand-built forms, each piece reflects a belief that making by hand remains one of humanity's most meaningful acts. Nang Songkran Reborn explores renewal—not simply as a beginning, but as a continual process of transformation. Inspired by the mythic figure of Nang Songkran, whose annual return marks the passage into the Thai New Year, these works consider the cycles through which culture, memory, identity, and nature are continually renewed. Drawing upon traditions rooted in southern Thailand while embracing a contemporary artistic language, Ekster creates works that celebrate craftsmanship as both practice and philosophy.
