Future of Us Event Link ⚡️Bay City 2051: Celebrate 25 years of Success! Overview Imagine it's 2051. Twenty-five years after the Future Culture Collective was launched, we gather to celebrate all that our community dared to build together. Under the wise leadership of people who grew up in Bayview and Hunters Point, our network took action on many fronts to build a thriving, joyful, healthy neighborhood. Once a textbook case of environmental injustice, in 2051 "Bay City" is a model for how to create an equitable, cooperative, abundant, peaceful world. Immerse in a sci-fi speculative future cooperative game to celebrate how you were part of our success story. #immersive #solarpunk #speculativefuture #rpg What to Expect The Celebration Space — Enter a neighborhood transformed: community artwork, stories, and artifacts from 25 years of positive change. Gameplay — Fill out your character card and add to the 25-year timeline by exploring the space to develop your story. Stencil keepsake bandanas or make a pin to display your attributes Imagine and innovate with others to solve complex issues Test your readiness to join the Radiants - our superheroes! Spark ideas by meeting and learning about local solutionaries and organizers Performance Art — The Radiants developed the ability to repair damage from toxic and radioactive exposure. They learned to heal themselves, other people, and plants and animals in our ecosystem. Now they're recruiting! Place your finger tip on their special tech to determine if you too can help heal the planet. Food for Thought — Enjoy a delicious Indonesian / Southern Soul Food fusion meal just down the road at another Future of Us Festival event celebrating Bayview Hunters Point. About the Future of Us Festival Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility. We're turning community-sourced, expert-crafted visions of the future into art, storytelling, and participatory experiences. With 100+ events spanning every corner of the city (floral labyrinths, speculative future worlds, dance parties with a purpose, and neighborhood meet-ups), it's a living exploration of what a more creative and generative civic culture could feel like. Organized around four themes (Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures), Future of Us is breaking down the barriers between art, ideas, and each other, and everyone is invited to co-imagine what comes next. ⚡ Learn more: future-of-us.com About the Future Culture Fellows Program The Future Culture Fellowship is a yearlong program that resources the people best positioned to shape the future of civic life in San Francisco: the community builders, artists, and grassroots visionaries already rooted in neighborhoods and traditions across the Bay.
