Art Bae Event Link Blaise Rosenthal: A Far Country @ Municipal Bonds Municipal Bonds is delighted to host artist Blaise Rosenthal and interior designer José Antonio Maurás for a conversational walkthrough of Rosenthal’s current solo exhibition, A Far Country . Please join us as longtime friends Rosenthal and Maurás discuss the works on view and the places, experiences, and influences that have shaped Rosenthal’s practice. About the Exhibition A Far Country brings together two contrasting bodies of work central to Rosenthal's practice: his Monoliths , monumental in scale and presence, and Overpaintings , a series of small works that explore painterly abstract potentials. The title suggests a place beyond immediate reach, shaped by Rosenthal's most familiar terrain: the natural world and the forms it leaves in memory. Landscape is absorbed into these paintings through mark and the physical life of the surface, carrying the imprint of places he has encountered and inhabited over time. location provided by event source: "1275 Minnesota Street, San Francisco, California, 94107" ―――――――――― SF Stuff To Do
