TIAT Art and Tech (Downtown: Powell and O'Farrell) Event Link A group exhibition on view 9/25 - 10/17 at TIAT in SF ⭑.ᐟ Earlier this year, “Chinamaxxing” emerged online as a playful fascination with contemporary China. Chinese technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, food, fashion, media, and everyday life became sources of curiosity and admiration. To Chinamaxx was, loosely, to embrace aspects of Chinese culture, or an imagined version of them. Chinamaxxing explores how contemporary China is experienced, interpreted, and reimagined across borders through the internet.
