Working across systems science and philosophy, Faze has been developing a coherent way of thinking about how organic and synthetic intelligence can grow together — and building the organization that turns that thinking into research, community, and public benefit. Brief Auto-Biography: "I have studied philosophy intently for over a decade, beginning with a strong eastern influence; Buddhism, Taoism, and “new age” integrations of mysticism and science. Psychedelics, Watts, Mckenna, Plum Village, the Tao of Physics, etc. Then, becoming disenchanted and seeking integration with practical everyday struggle, I turned to Marxism: the Manifesto, the manuscripts, Capital V. 1 & 2, Engels origin of family, Lenin state and rev, David Harvey, Michael Roberts, Michael Heinrich, I.I. Rubin, Endnotes, etc. Then, becoming disenchanted and seeking a more holistic, embodied, spiritual, and social approach, I became most interested in Hegel, Schelling, Delueze, Spinoza, and Whitehead —dialectical, theological, process-centered, phenomenological systems. I integrated my various influences, and my cultural context into a spiritual, communalist project. I lived in a shared home in an ecovillage, learned about permaculture, appropriate tech, biogas, cob building, living machines, DIY vibes, as well as communal social technology. We experimented with Sociocracy, Nonviolent Communication, Internal Family Systems, Possibility Mgmt., embodied practices, dance, energy healing, and various meditative dialogue modalities like circling and insight dialogue. Becoming disenchanted with the slow pace of change, financial challenges, interpersonal limitations, and personal health struggle, I left to study as an electrician, and began to let go of the desire to spearhead a world-changing communalist movement. Then, my path urged me to write again - to finish the synthesis of thought I’d been searching for and longing to develop for years, and to move to California to further a holistic, post-rationalist / super-rational spiritual, trans-humanist, community project. I am building out my recently conceived nonprofit, POSITs to continue my research and development of highly coherent intentional communities; working to publish my writing more widely, developing a digital inter/personal alignment tool based on liquid democracy, facilitating intentional relating events, and networking for deeper collaboration globally, from the network society movement and Edge City, to the tech-forward, holistic, and spiritual intentional community scenes more br…
