Artist Alex Beard is coming to San Francisco from his New Orleans art studio to discuss how his Abstract Naturalism style reflects the manner in which nature, as perceived through the observable universe, is indicative of interconnectedness. That style is also an overview of how visual mathematics, as highlighted by the Divine Proportion and Fibonacci’s exponential growth system, is a clue to the underlying order of all things, and how an understanding gleaned from experiential observation and classical architecture and composition combine to influence Beard’s art and his perception of the world in which we live.  Beard’s presentation will feature visual representations of his artworks as well as easily understood renderings of the mathematics involved.
