In spite of decades of advertising to the contrary, there is something better than cooking with gas: magnets.
Home and professional chefs alike are coming to understand that switching from methane gas to an electric induction stove is similar to switching to an electric car—cleaner, faster, better. Still not quite convinced? Join Climate One for an evening of community and delicious food to see—and taste—induction cooking for yourself!
Playte Kitchen will present a dynamic, multi-chef demonstration highlighting the versatility, efficiency, and precision of induction cooking using copper electric stoves, made just over the bridge in Berkeley.
Guests will enjoy appetizers and delicious wines as we explore how induction cooking can elevate everyday home cooking while supporting a more sustainable kitchen.
The evening will feature:
• Three professional chefs leading live demonstration stations
• A trio of appetizers featuring plant-forward recipes with seasonal, local ingredients, each showcasing different applications of induction cooking
• Approachable cooking techniques guests can replicate at home
• Conversation and live Q&A with the chefs and hosts
