Submitted by the Event OrganizerJamie SteeleCrushing is a genre-defiant live show where multidisciplinary artists—playwrights, actors, novelists, poets, comedians—perform true stories from their love lives onstage. Our performers are award-winning novelists, MacDowell Fellows, Off-Broadway playwrights, formerly incarcerated artists, and more. They will be shedding light on everything from dating as a drag queen to navigating love through incarceration to living through the AIDS epidemic to modern dating “situationship” woes and more. Each story is taking a unique shape and they fit together to create an evening that is personal, profound, cathartic, hilarious, and eye-opening.
