Drawing From Film—Onibaba

Submitted by the Event OrganizerSFPLWe’ll be pausing Shindō’s historical horror film, Onibaba, to draw striking frames. Basic materials (pencils, paper, erasers) will be provided. You may bring your own materials, but please no fume-creating paint or paint pens. Watercolor, ink and gouache are fine. This is a self-led event; there will be no instruction or feedback. However, there will be an opportunity at the end of the session to look at others’ drawings and show your own. NR, 103 mins., 1964. Closed captions (CC) and subtitles in English. Due to pauses for drawing, the full film will not be shown. The event takes places in the Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, in the Latino/Hispanic Meeting Room.
