Francisco's Anthology Art Show

Decentered Featured Events (SOMA 8th St) Event Link On a Friday evening in August, Decentered Arts will open its doors to Francisco Ramirez, aka FCOART, for Francisco’s Anthology Art Show, a solo exhibition gathering fragments of memory, emotion, resilience, and hope. Guests will step into Francisco’s vibrant artistic world, where brightly colored paintings, murals, and mixed-media works transform personal experiences into expressive emotional landscapes. His self-taught practice draws from the challenges and contradictions of life, turning moments of grief, uncertainty, and disillusionment into opportunities for experimentation and creation. Throughout the evening, Francisco will share the stories and ideas behind the work during an artist talk, offering a deeper look into the memories, emotions, colors, textures, and recurring symbols that shape his practice. Hummingbirds, butterflies, horizons, and hearts appear throughout the collection as symbols of new beginnings, resilience, hope, and identity. Each piece reflects fragments of Francisco’s inner world while leaving space for viewers to discover their own meanings within the work. The evening will also feature live music by Joseph Anthony Cañas, along with light refreshments and a warm, intimate atmosphere at Decentered Studio.
