First established on August 12, 1943, it played a key role in starting the farmers market movement in the state. Earlier this year, Foodwise was honored to become the manager of this beloved market, in partnership with the City and County of San Francisco. With a focus on local food, affordability, and accessibility, the market hosts a diverse community of more than 80 small family farms and food businesses. Visit Alemany Farmers Market on Saturdays, 7 am to 2 pm, at 100 Alemany Boulevard in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood, year round, rain or shine.
