Future of Us: Dogpatch Block Party!

Food, music, neighbors, and a whole lot of chalk! This is a day to celebrate the Dogpatch — and to imagine the future of all of our neighborhoods. Make new friends, explore interactive stations, and add your vision to our chalk art gallery. ⚡ This event is part of our Neighborhood Futures day. Check out the programming happening at The Pearl just a 10 minute walk away, and if you're a local to the neighborhood, sign up to earn your patches at the first annual Patchwork neighborhood crawl! ⚡ About the Event: We can't celebrate Neighborhood Futures without celebrating our home neighborhood! This community block party is inspired by our mission to bring our local neighborhood together in creative ways. We're partnering with the Dogpatch Arts & Business Association and Pier 70's Building 12 to bring the community a day of music, art, craft, food, and beer! 4:00pm onwards — Block Party opens at Pier 70 with chalk artists, DJ sets, and face painting 4:00-10:00pm — 4:00 – 10:00pm — Activations & Stations open at Pier 704:00pm — DJ Set DJ Jeremiah5:15pm — Live Performance C. Space reserved for you to add yoursDogpatch Photo Booth: Get your official Dogpatch portrait, props optional, but always encouraged.Meet You Neighbors Lounge: Hang out at one of the lounges set-up with conversation prompts and interactions to make it a little easier to spark a connection.Face Painting: Fun for all ages! Stop by our face-painting station to add a splash of color to your day.Vulnerable Rally: Grab a marker and join this interactive community art project, where we’re making signs that honestly share our internal hurdles alongside our boldest visions for the future.Building 12 Pop-Ups: Check out the pop-up art gallery, artisans, and special events nearby inside Building 12. Food, Drinks & Entertainment Food Trucks: Bay favorites Jollof Kitchen and Cochinita will be serving West African and Yucatán flavors.Great Beer & Views: Enjoy a drink at Standard Deviant next door, with amazing views of the Bay. If you get there early, they'll probably have World Cup on!Live Music: We'll have music throughout the evening to keep you moving.
