Limited spots so each participant can get the best experience Graphic Arts Workshop Presents: An introduction to Intaglio Etching. Join Declan Riordan and Dylan Clendenin for a two-day introduction workshop in copper plate linework etching. Attendees will be provided all materials including two prepared copper plates. Attendees will be introduced to etching with example etchings and begin working on plates and producing images as early as the first day. Intaglio etching as a medium dates back to the 16th century. The same process was used by artists such as Rembrandt and Goya, known for producing prints with deep etching tones and fine line details. Today the practice remains largely unchanged and etching remains a medium with an incredible amount of control. Under the guidance of an instructor with over five years of printmaking experience, create linework like you’ve never seen before.
