North Beach Now presents a History Happy Hour and town hall featuring Columbia professor of political science and author Lincoln Mitchell and North Beach artist-activist Romalyn Schmaltz. The event explores how the Moscone and Milk assassinations and the shift toward a more conservative City Hall were met with resistance movements like punk rock, and how those lessons may apply to current struggles.
