Jazz Mafia co-founder, trombonist, and composer Adam Theis brings his ambitious chamber project, Brass & Bows, to Keys Jazz Bistro in North Beach. Showcasing over two decades of string and horn writing—from Cosa Nostra Strings to his celebrated Brass, Bows & Beats hip-hop symphony—Theis leads a 12-piece all-star Bay Area ensemble blending a classical string quartet with jazz brass, woodwinds, and a hard-hitting rhythm section. Featuring luminaries such as trumpeter Mike Olmos, violinist Shaina Evoniuk, flutist Chloe Scott Jones, and bassist Sascha Jacobsen, the performance navigates lush orchestral textures, cinematic dynamics, and driving groove-based improvisation across an evening of Theis’s original compositions. Two Shows: 7pm and 9pm
