The Commons: Third Space (Hayes Valley) Event Link Does this sound familiar: "I built something awesome and published it, but nobody's actually using it!" "I like to create stuff but I don't know how to market it." "I wish having a good product meant that people would actually use it." You're not alone! I've been talking with several builders who are excited to actually build useful things, but when it comes to getting the word out about their product, it feels impossible. You might assume that a great product will "sell itself", but that's simply not the case. I'll be presenting on the concepts from Simple Marketing for Smart People – a book that works with this exact problem. It gives a framework for how to break down the vague problem of "marketing" into tractable, easy-to-tackle steps. I'll have some exercises to help develop marketing material, so bring something you've built that you want more people to see, or even just an idea for a future project. We'll have some time for discussion and mingling at the end. location provided by event source: "550 Laguna St, San Francisco" ―――――――――― SF Stuff To Do
