Mike Rinta

Trombonist and vocalist Mike Rinta leads a horn‑driven band at The Saloon in North Beach. The lineup features Tim Eschliman on bass sax and vocals, Snakebite Jacob on tenor sax, Mike Rinta on trombone and vocals, Kevin Zuffi on keyboards and vocals, and Willy Jordan on drums and vocals. He is a Bay Area–born trombonist and arranger who has freelanced for more than three decades with touring and performance credits that include Sly & The Family Stone, Jimmie Vaughan, Howard Tate, John Lee Hooker Jr., Herbie Hancock, Fred Wesley, Arturo Sandoval, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, and Santana.
