Mirus Gallery Presents: Nostalgia – A Group Exhibition

This collection of artists uniquely reveals an element of a simpler time, and what colored time-treasured memories. Join us in our celebration of yesteryear through art. Opening Reception on Friday, October 16th, 2026, from 6–10 PM is free and open to the public. About the Exhibition: The “Nostalgia,” exhibition showcases a diverse range of artists’ work that explores a fascination of nostalgia from different points of view through a variety of media. These selected artworks collectively embody a longing of the past by highlighting the vibrant cultural phenomenon; personally or socially. Featured artworks may pay homage to beloved memories through music; either abstractly or sampled from pop culture like icons or characters became childhood heroes, and a source of inspiration. Dance, aesthetics and fashion trends, TV, movies, and beloved obsolete technology, along with landmark moments in history that shaped the coming of age. As the landscape of the human experience intensifies its immersion into technology, an equal and opposite reaction is arising with a curiosity tapping into simpler times. This effect on the psyche is described to provide feelings of joy, “where sensory cues from younger years trigger deep emotional memories, activating the brain’s reward and memory centers.” The “Nostalgia” group show features 50+ artists from California and beyond. All are invited to gather for this community event.
