For Nyquil Oasis we’ll be showing a new body of work by our good friend and one of our all-time favorite artists Yerrie Choo . “I have had a lot of fevers these past few years. Actually, all my life. My immune system has really poor boundaries and lets anyone in which leaves me with countless fevers. But during these times, I have been visited by my craziest thoughts and feelings. All my ideas are playing at 1.5x speed with imagery I’d never imagine while I’m healthy. When it’s really bad, I douse myself in Nyquil and I feel the comforting weight of relief. Even though the fever is strong and still blasting so much intense content in my brain, I’m embraced by knowing that I have solace from the sweet syrup. It’s a bizarre mix of tranquility and pain all under a warm blanket. In other words, I am in the Nyquil Oasis.” -Yerrie Choo Nyquil Oasis opens next Saturday, October 3rd, from 6-9pm, and will remain on view for all of October and November.
