Music Production 101: EQ, Compression, & SFX

Decentered Featured Events (SOMA 8th St) Event Link Hey Songwriters! In this month’s workshop, we’ll cover the fundamentals of audio equalization (EQ) and compression tools in music recording. We’ll dive into pre-recorded song examples where CJ @calebjames.mp3 will demonstrate how each aspect of these tools can manipulate audio to shape a mix of synchronized audio recordings in digital audio workstations (DAW). We’ll also apply these tools to sound effect (SFX) in music and show how designing sound unique to a recording can bring a recorded track into a polished cohesive sound.
