Nadav Beary Trio

Nadav Beary brings a blues-soaked, funk-infused approach to jazz drumming to Stookey’s Blue Room — a Berkeley native who got his start at 14 in the celebrated Berkeley High jazz ensemble before going on to graduate from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York under the mentorship of legends Reggie Workman and Lenny White. Now Brooklyn-based and touring nationally with bands including The Heeters, Malick Koly, Crying Uncle Electric, and his own jazz quartet, Beary has performed at the High Sierra Festival, BottleRock Napa, Barclays Center, Yoshi’s Oakland, and the Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland — bringing the full depth of a richly traveled musical life to an intimate evening of jazz, blues, and groove.
