Nick Rossi Organ Trio

Nick Rossi’s Organ Trio brings the punchy, groove-centered sound of 1950s–’60s soul-jazz to The Royale on Saturday, September 12, from 8:45–11:45 PM. San Francisco guitarist Rossi, a longtime specialist in jazz history and swing, leads a Hammond-organ combo inspired by masters such as John Patton, Larry Young, and Jack McDuff—expect bluesy guitar lines, warm organ textures, and an energetic small-group swing feel.
