Patrick Wolff Quartet at Mr. Tipples brings saxophonist and clarinetist Patrick Wolff’s hard‑bop‑rooted modern jazz sound into one of San Francisco’s most focused listening rooms, joined by Keith Saunders on piano, Eric Markowitz on bass, and special guest Mark Ferber on drums. An exciting band with a big sound, this group of some of SF’s finest has been playing together for over nine years, focusing on Wolff’s original compositions and hard bop classics from Horace Silver, Kenny Dorham, and Freddie Redd; their album Bay Blue on Bop City Records spent several months on the national jazz radio charts and was named one of the “Best jazz albums of 2024” by the Mercury News.
