Photo Exhibition Commemorating the 160th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen

Submitted by the Event OrganizerYeong Wo Benevolent AssociationTo mark the 160th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the Father of the Nation, the Yeong Wo Benevolent Association of America proudly announces a commemorative photo exhibition, co-organized by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA). The exhibition will be held  on August 1st and 2nd at the historic Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association headquarters—a venue selected for its profound historical significance and deep connection to the overseas Chinese legacy. Exhibition Highlights & Significance This commemorative event aims to honor Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s revolutionary spirit, celebrate his journey of tireless struggle for national independence and rejuvenation, and foster patriotism and community cohesion among the global Chinese diaspora. Precious Historical Archives: The exhibition features over 70 rare historical photographs, each accompanied by bilingual descriptions in Chinese and English to provide a powerful, immersive visual experience. Full Sponsorship: In a demonstration of civic responsibility and community commitment, all expenses for the event are fully covered by the Yeong Wo Association of America. Educational Outreach: Students from Central Chinese High School will attend the exhibition in structured visits. Designed as an engaging history lesson, the initiative aims to deepen the younger generation’s understanding of the 1911 Revolution, nurture school and national pride, and inspire students to cherish the present.
