Art Bae Event Link Read David's Writing @ 500 Capp Street Experience David Ireland as a writer. This reading brings out his written voice from a lesser-known corner of his working life — he was an avid correspondent and pen pal, a note taker, and a lifelong journal keeper. Drawing from the archive, readers will share his musings and questions on commissions, travel discoveries, and friendship, along with excerpts of his thinking as he conceptualized specific pieces, including the reimagining of his own house at 500 Capp Street. Curated by Steve Dickison and Amy Trachtenberg. Readers include Leah Levy, Kevin CK Lo, Tuğçe Evirgen Özmen, Steve Dickison, and Amy Trachtenberg. This program is a part of Amy Trachtenberg’s solo show, Abstract Objects of Devotion , on view through October 17th, 2026. Get your tickets here. Amy Trachtenberg’s multidisciplinary practice spans painting, collage, sculpture, installation, language, public commissions, theater and dance design in collaborative works. Her hybrid approach explores the emotional, political, and perceptual charge embedded within materials and the experience between objects, space, and memory. Steve Dickison from 1999 to 2024 directed The Poetry Center & American Poetry Archives at San Francisco State University, and has written recently on the work of Etel Adnan, Simone Fattal, the Umbra Workshop poets, and Nicholas Mirzoeff. location provided by event source: "500 Capp Street, San Francisco, California, 94110" ―――――――――― SF Stuff To Do
