Fillmore-born keyboardist Sam Peoples brings deeply rooted Bay Area jazz to Sheba Piano Lounge. The son of Fillmore-era musician Sammy Peoples, he carries forward the neighborhood’s Harlem of the West tradition with a fluid, soulful piano style shaped by performances alongside artists including Oscar Brown Jr., Julian Priester, Sonny Simmons, Lee Hester, and Stanley Willis.
