Shangô Beat brings a vibrant Afro-Brazilian groove to Amelie, led by Bay Area–based percussionist, singer, and composer Marcos Odara, who grew up in Salvador, Bahia. Rooted in traditional Candomblé rhythms, the project blends samba, baião, batucada, reggae, funk, and blues into an energetic, cross-cultural sound.
