We believe wellness should live in these common spaces — not behind a paywall — and that when we gather in them, something symbiotic happens. We care for the space, the space holds us, and we hold each other. No memberships, no price tags, no experience required. This gathering is a morning of meditation, breathwork, and sound healing — guided practices that calm the nervous system, quiet the noise, and bring us back to ourselves and each other. Because when we heal together, we heal our community. This is for the neighbor who's been meaning to try breathwork. The friend who needs an hour of true rest. The curious newcomer who just needs a soft place to land. Whether you've never sat in meditation or you lead practices yourself, you belong here. What to Expect Think: slow mornings, connection, inner peace and a little magic. ✨ Here's how the morning flows: 🤝 Community Connection We begin by arriving — together. Meet your neighbors, find your spot, and let the pace of the morning slow you down. We'll set intentions as a group and open the space for ease, restoration, and connection. 🌬️ Meditation & Breathwork [9:15–10:15am] Move your body, open your breath, and shake off whatever you carried in. Claire will guide us through 45 minutes of meditation and psychology-informed breathwork — practical nervous system tools woven into a slow, supported flow. Whether it's your first breath practice or your hundredth, you'll leave clearer, calmer, and more at home in your body. calmwithclaire.com 🍫 Cacao & Soundbath with Maryzelle [10:15–11:15am] We close with stillness. Share in a warm cup of ceremonial cacao, then settle in as sound healer and percussionist Maryzelle guides us through a 60-minute soundbath — layering gongs, crystal quartz bowls, Tibetan bowls, and shamanic drums into an experience that washes over you. Grounded, present, and restored. maryzelle.com 🫖 Tea, Snacks & Community [11:15am–12pm] We end where we began: with each other. Linger over warm tea and light snacks, meet the person who was breathing beside you, and hear more about the mission of The Commons — building open, shared spaces where wellness belongs to everyone. No rush, no agenda. Just conversation, connection, and community. Parking & Transportation 🚶Walk or take the bus Our top recommendation — arrive already in the spirit of the morning. 🚗 Street parking Available in the surrounding neighborhood — allow extra time on weekends. 🔇No loud amplified sound This is a calm, grounded gathering — no booming speakers or amplified music. 💡No flashing lights A sensory-friendly environment safe for those with light sensitivities. ―――――――――― About the Future of Us Festival Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility.
