Tiffany Austin brings her celebrated voice and deep reverence for jazz history to Keys Jazz Bistro for Ella and Ellington — a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and her greatest collaborators, including Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. Hailed by KQED as “one of the country’s best jazz singers,” Austin is a vocalist, composer, educator, and UC Berkeley Law Juris Doctor whose soulful delivery and musical storytelling have earned four-star DownBeat reviews, an NPR Fresh Air feature, and appearances at Birdland, Dizzy’s Den, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the SFJAZZ Center, as well as performances with Pharoah Sanders, Roy Ayers, and Cyrus Chestnut. Joined tonight by Adam Shulman on piano, Ron Belcher on bass, and Jayla Hernandez on drums, this is an evening of timeless jazz elegance from one of the Bay Area’s most accomplished and soulful voices.
