Tori Roze and Johnny Alexander bring a taste of San Diego’s acclaimed soul-jazz scene to The Grove, performing as an intimate duo drawn from their six-piece band Tori Roze and The Hot Mess. Roze is a vocalist of rare range and imagination, weaving together influences from Michael Jackson, Erykah Badu, Ella Fitzgerald, Björk, and musical theatre into something wholly her own.
