Heads up: this is a hands-on build night and bringing a laptop is mandatory. Your coding agent forgets your repo every session. That makes it useless. You open a fresh session, the agent has never seen your codebase, and you burn the first twenty minutes re-explaining the architecture it figured out yesterday. The fix is not a bigger context window. The fix is memory and retrieval. VCN #48: Total Recall is the Saturday-morning build sprint where you give your coding agent a memory of your repo that survives across sessions. Heads up: a past VCN used "Total Recall" for conversational chat memory. This one is about CODE. Retrieval over your codebase, not your message history. The build: Chunk the repo. Smart code chunking that respects functions, files, and module boundaries, not naive 500-token splits that cut a function in half.Embed and index. Build embeddings over your codebase and stand up a retrieval index. Nebius Token Factory credits run the embedding stack so there is no API bill.Retrieve into context. Wire retrieval into the agent's context window so it pulls the right files at the right moment instead of guessing.Persist across sessions. Drop in the persistent-memory pattern (the Claude Code memory file approach) so what the agent learns about your repo sticks around for next time. By 1pm your coding agent remembers your repo across sessions. You leave with RAG over your own codebase, working. Builders only. Bring a repo you actually work in. Doors 10am. Build sprint 10:15. Coffee and demos at noon. Frontier Tower Floor 9. Hosted by Vibe Coding Nights: Rayyan Zahid (Immersive Commons), Michalis Vasileiadis (Hacker Bob), Eric Mockler (AI Geneticist), Devinder Sodhi (Learning Layer Labs). Facilitator: Rayyan Zahid. Guest speaker TBD (open call). Your ticket includes z.ai + Claude Code for the session and Nebius Token Factory credits to run the labs. $10 early, $20 at the door. Frontier Tower members free. Reach out to the team directly for a free ticket. RSVP if your agent should know your codebase by name. Frontier Tower members: your ticket is on us. Reach out to the team directly and we'll get you a free RSVP.
