What will it take for clinicians to use your product and for a healthcare organization to adopt it? Join Emma Essock-Burns, PhD, founder of Clinical Product Insights (CPI), for a practical session on connecting clinical needs, workflow, usability, and product decisions. Emma brings clinical engineering leadership experience at startups including Verb Surgical, ViewRay, and AlterG, and a doctorate in bioengineering from UCSF/UC Berkeley. She is also a Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship alum and Assistant Director of the innovation fellowship program.
Designed for health startup founders and investors, this session will introduce a structured approach to identifying adoption barriers and deciding what to validate next. Participants will also get complimentary pilot access to CPI’s Clinical Adoption Assessment: a roughly 15-minute tool that produces an expert-reviewed report highlighting potential adoption gaps, priorities, and practical next steps.
Bring your company into the conversation: Complete the pilot assessment before October 8 to help shape the session. Emma will select a couple of submissions for deeper review and, with the teams’ permission, feature them as examples at the late-October event—an opportunity to get focused feedback and introduce your company to the StartX community. Pilot participants’ feedback will help refine the tool.
