Join us for a one-hour session on enterprise selling with Joel Mjolsness, designed for founders building and scaling their enterprise sales motion. Joel will cover three areas that often make or break early enterprise deals: identifying the right champions and economic buyers, turning pilots into paid contracts, and structuring deals that set you up for long-term expansion. Drawing on his experience at companies like IBM, Canonical, and Mirantis, as well as his recent work with startups, he'll share practical frameworks and real stories from the field.
Speaker Bio
Joel Mjolsness brings more than 30 years of enterprise and startup sales leadership across IBM, Sun Microsystems, Dell Technologies, Mirantis, Canonical, Amazon Web Services, and several startups. He began his career in finance at IBM before moving into customer-facing roles in sales, business development, and management, most recently serving as Chief Revenue Officer and VP of Business Development at companies including Enkrypt AI, which was acquired by Anaconda in 2026. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Joel is currently Principal Advisor at Growth Tech Advisory, where he advises emerging companies on sales strategy across open source, AI, HPC, hybrid cloud, and cybersecurity. He is also an active advisor to startups at Stanford StartX, Berkeley SkyDeck, and Stanford Seed. His combination of decades leading large enterprise sales organizations and recent, hands-on founder-stage selling means his guidance is practical and field-tested rather than theoretical.
