Bay Area Open Mics Event Link The Lost Church was the brainchild of musicians Brett and Elizabeth Cline, who turned the living room of their Mission District apartment into a small theater (the name came from Cline's failed indie label 'The Lost Church of Rock n' Roll': 'They lost money; hence, The Lost Church'). The couple opened the new SF venue in 2022 on Colombus Avenue. The entrance is nondescript and easy to miss, but inside you'll find the incredible velvet-curtained stage known to fans of their mostly acoustic events. You're Going to Die is a monthly grief & gratitude open mic exploring death and dying in a community context. Running since 2009, its SF edition meets at The Lost Church .
