TIAT Art and Tech (Downtown: Powell and O'Farrell) Event Link Computers have become remarkably powerful, yet the way we interact with them remains uniformly flat. We click, tap, type, swipe, and increasingly, prompt, all on the same rectangles and screens. This exhibition asks what else a computer might be. Bringing together artists, designers, and technologists working across playful computing and experimental interfaces. The exhibition explores computers that invite different forms of interaction: machines that are tactile, physical, spatial, strange, social, embodied, or alive to their surroundings. Here, computation becomes raw material for play and expression rather than simply a means of efficiency. What happens when we design computers around curiosity? When an interface becomes an instrument, a toy, a collaborator, a place, or an object with a personality entirely its own? These works imagine an alternate relationship between humans and machines—not necessarily more intelligent computers, but wildly more expressive ones. ꩜ Come by to check out the artworks, chat with the artists, and hang out with the Era team as we play with some fun, hands-on installations! There will be drinks, light bites, and plenty of strange, tactile, and expressive machines to explore. ꩜ tiat is the intersection of art & technology! we are an experimental gallery for creative technologists to experiment, exhibit, and expand their practice. ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ tiat is 501c3 nonprofit, our EIN is: 39-3448606. this exhibition is supported by Era. location provided by event source: "tiat, 151 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94102, USA" ―――――――――― SF Stuff To Do
